Kessil Lighting (“Kessil”) warrants its Kessil Lighting Products to the original purchaser (“Buyer”) only, to be free from defects in both material and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of purchase, with official receipt from an authorized local distributor or local reseller. Products purchased from non-authorized resellers are not covered under any warranty and repair service.
Kessil’s Warranty is not assignable or transferable to anyone other than the original purchaser of the product. For Warranty returns that are found to be defective in materials or workmanship, Kessil will replace or repair the product to proper working condition, without charge. Products that have been replaced or repaired under Warranty will remain under Warranty only for the remaining unexpired time period of the original Warranty. In the absence of proof of purchase date, Kessil will use the original shipping date of the product, from Kessil’s facility.
Kessil’s Warranty extends to all products that have proved defective through normal use but excludes products that have been damaged, disassembled, modified, or misused by the Buyer or any other person. Warranty returns found to be defective through damage, disassembly, modification, or misused, by Buyer or any other person, and warranty returns found to be nondefective, will be subject to evaluation fee, labor fee, and repair costs if applicable.
For products that are no longer covered by Warranty (“Non-Warranty”), Kessil may elect, at its option, to offer a repair service or a replacement unit at discounted price. Buyer is responsible for two-way freight costs, including insurance, special packaging, all taxes, customs, and duties (for international Buyer). Non-Warranty returns will be evaluated and will be subject to evaluation fee, labor fee, and repair costs if applicable. If non-Warranty repair work is necessary, Buyer will be notified of repair costs before a repair work order is initiated. A confirming PO or a valid form of payment is required for non-Warranty repair work.
Troubleshooting steps must be applied to the defective product according to a Kessil’s representative or local authorized reseller. All RMAs must be approved by Kessil or a local authorized reseller.
For Warranty returns, if an advanced replacement is needed, Kessil will send the Buyer a replacement unit in advance, and then send a free return shipping label to ship back the defective product. This option requires the Buyer to provide credit card information. No charges will be made unless for any reasons, the defective light is not returned to Kessil within 30 days. This is only applicable to USA resellers or Buyer, and not to international Buyer.
For non-Warranty returns, defective products must be sent to Kessil’s facility in advance for evaluation. It will be subject to evaluation fee, labor fee, and repair costs if applicable.
Distributors are not required to send the defective products to Kessil immediately. All returns must be shipped to Kessil’s facility within 90 days to avoid charges, unless otherwise specified. Kessil will only accept the return of products for which a Kessil RMA number has been issued to Distributor,prior to the shipment of the return product to Kessil. This RMA Number must be displayed on all return shipment documents. Kessil will refuse all returns that are not accompanied by an RMA Number. All risks of any such refused shipment are the sole responsibility of Buyer.
For Warranty and non-Warranty returns, Distributor is responsible for two-way freight costs, including insurance, special packaging, and taxes if applicable.
